"IBX" stands for Inclusion Body Expression, highlighting the company's use of inclusion bodies. The "PROTECH" component represents Protein Technology, symbolizing the advanced biotechnological solutions the company uses in protein expression refolding and purification.
What Sets Us Apart
As the market for biologic drugs grow, we are developing novel cost-saving, disruptive ideas that employ state-of-the-art innovations in bioprocessing to produce cheaper drug substances. Our target is to produce NBE (New Biological Entities) as well as API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) that are novel generics to biosimilars. What sets our platform technologies apart will be very much lower CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) as well as lower COG (Cost of Goods).
Additionally, we are already designing containerized systems that are regulatory friendly and ready to "plug and play" upon arrival at whichever destination.

The main reason why many companies use mammalian cells instead of bacterial systems for the manufacture of recombinant proteins is due to the necessity of consistent protein refolding with retained bioactivity.
We have already achieved this for multiple proteins in the 15-45 kDa range using E.Coli that grows very much faster than mammalian cells.
What Are We Up To?
Customize compact wheeled bioreactors with environmentally friendly sterilization that have low carbon footprints. We shall be using novel nanotechnology systems for purification of target proteins to 90-95% purity withing permitted endotoxin levels. Some of these drug substances will be planned for non-PEGylated oral delivery while others will be delivered through conventional injectable pathways.
